La Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas de Hollywood dio a conocer a los nominados a los Premios Oscar 2019, donde Roma a de Alfonso Cuarón fue nominada en 10 categorías.

Los comediantes Kumail Nanjiani y Tracee Ellis Ross fueron los encargados de dirigir el evento en el que se conocieron los nombres de los contendientes por la estatuilla.
Los ganadores de la edición número 91 de la estatuilla que reconoce a lo mejor del cine se darán a conocer el 24 de febrero en Los Ángeles.
