Jonathan Paredes se colgó la medalla de plata en la Serie Mundial de Clavados de Altura en Azores, Portugal, quedándose a tres puntos del primer lugar que fue para el británico Gary Hunt.
El clavadista mexicano logró la puntuación de 417.50, mientras que Hunt consiguió la medalla de oro con 420.60; el podio lo completó el estadunidense Andy Jones con 375.45.

Cabe mencionar que Paredes hizo un récord en esta competición tras sumar seis 10 en las puntuaciones del fin de semana.

Por la rama femenil, la ganadora fue la australiana Rhiannan Iffland, quien consiguió la medalla de oro tras sumar 326.80 puntos; mientras que la mexicana Adriana Jiménez quedó en la quinta posición con 279.65.
