The Art of McCartney es el nombre del disco que diversos artistas grabaron en homenaje a Paul McCartney, el material incluye versiones de sus temas con la agrupación The Beatles, así como con Wings y sus discos como solistas.
De acuerdo a la revista Rolling Stone, la producción musical fue hecha por el ex productor del ex Beatle, Ralph Sall, en 2003. El disco se comenzó a grabar después de la aprobación de Paul, en el cual artistas como Bob Dylan, Billy Joel, Alice Cooper, y grupos como The Cure y Kiss participaron en el material discográfico.
El primer sencillo del homenaje es un cover de Hello Goodbye, interpretado por The Cure y el hijo de Paul McCartney, James.
The Art of McCartney está programado para salir el 18 de noviembre próximo y ya se puede pre-ordenar en sitios como Itunes y Amazon.
El álbum estará disponible en formato CD o digital de 34 canciones o la súper edición deluxe que contiene 4 vinilos de colores, 2 CDs normales y un CD extra, una memoria USB con forma del legendario bajo Hofner de McCartney, un DVD documental y un audio documental, 4 piezas de arte y una guía ilustrada de la creación del producto, una entrevista en CD y otra en DVD.
